The newest bestseller has just come out and the library doesn't have it in eBook format...what?!? Why? Well, the digital realm is pretty rocky right now and many publishers have yet to release books in eBook format and others have changed their original stance signficantly. We can buy a printed book from these companies, stick it on the shelf, and lend it out--but digital content is treated differently by the publishers and the companies who manage digital content licensing.
