What do we need?
We are seeking a high energy, customer service oriented, team player. A high school diploma and customer service experience required. Library experience preferred, but not required. A comfort level with computers and technology is a must.
What would you do?
Check in items, inspect items, check out items, register patrons for library cards, collect fines and fees, place meeting room reservations, and more. In addition, Customer Service Assistants also work the Computer Lab Desk assisting in the operation of patron access to computers including, but not limited to, free email services such as Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo, etc. Proficiency with electronic, print, and Internet resources as well as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher, copy machines, printers.
When would I work?
Approximately 12 hours per week with at least one evening per week and at least one—two Saturday/Sunday per month.
