The mission of the Brownsburg Public Library is to offer lifelong learning for the community and patrons of the Library.

Welcome to The Corner!

Everyone can find something they like!  The YA section contains books for a wide range of interests and reading levels for grades 6-12.  We consistently order award-winning books, and we keep new YA books on display.  But it’s not just books… We also have teen magazines like Wizard, Teen People, Seventeen, Trans World Skateboarding, and Teen Voices.  Back issues can be checked out for 7 days!  There is also a selection of comic books that can be checked out for 3 weeks.

         Teen Programs

Check out our assorted programming specifically for teens!  We do programs for fun, programs to help you with school, programs to teach you a new skill, programs to let you be creative—all kinds of programs!  Some programs are recurring and some are one time only!  We offer Movie Showings and Halo 2 Events, we’ve had dance workshops, cookie decorating parties, Financial Aid workshops, and board game nights!  In the future look for these great programs on the event calendar.

All-Purpose Suggestion Box
A suggestion box will be the available for you to dump all entries and ballots for all contests or votes in the YA section, any movie, book, music, or magazine requests, comments, and YES—even suggestions! Do you have a suggestion that can't wait?  Email me at efleischer@brownsburg.lib.in.us.

College and Financial Aid Information

The College and Financial Aid information is housed on the far side of the YA section—be sure you don’t overlook it!  It contains valuable material for planning your future education and how to fund it!  All scholarship opportunities we receive are posted on the bulletin board, as well as information on obtaining federal Financial Aid.  We keep information on all Indiana colleges and universities and a wide selection of out-of-state institutions, as well as information about the United States Armed Forces.  Publications about middle school and high school success strategies are housed here, and we keep SAT information booklets here also.

If you have any questions or comments, please contact YA Librarian Emily Fleischer at efleischer@brownsburg.lib.in.us or (317)852-3167, ext. 307.  You could also drop a note in the suggestion box!
