The mission of the Brownsburg Public Library is to offer lifelong learning for the community and patrons of the Library.

Support Your Library: Memorial & Tribute Books

The Brownsburg Public Library has a long-standing tradition of adding books to the Library’s collection that have been purchased in memory  in tribute of loved ones. Friends and family may choose specific titles and/or subject areas or may give unrestricted donations to be used in collection areas according to the Library's needs. In remembrance a bookplate with the individual’s name will be placed in the front of each memorial book.

Birthday Books

Celebrate a loved one’s birthday by giving a book in their name to the Library. Your gift will not only honor the individual but also expand the reading choices for the entire community. Donors may choose a specific title or area of interest for the collection. A special bookplate will be placed in each birthday book.

Monetary Donations
The Library accepts gifts from local clubs and community organizations. The Lois Reitzel Campbell Fund was established in 1984 to accept general monetary donations to the Library.  Money from this fund can be used to purchase items for the Local History and Genealogy Collection. The Mildred Fay Newby & Harry Leo Newby Children’s Book Fund was established in 2004 to accept donations specifically for purchasing and maintaining award-winning books from the Junior Department. This fund can also be used to purchase other children’s books as needed by the Library, at the librarian's discretion.
